Acquire: How to make a flow computer field trigger an alarm

Any field in the flow computer can be set to trigger an alarm. The alarm will be triggered when the value of the flow computer field is non zero.

 

Requirements:

Acquire v2.4 or greater

 

To set a flow computer field to trigger an alarm:

Click on the flow computer in the 'Flow Computer Status' window.

Double click on the flow computer icon.

Click on the 'Configure' tab.

Double click on the field that you want to set the alarm for.

Click the 'Alarm' checkbox.

Click the 'OK' button.

You will be taken back to the configuration screen. 

Click the 'Apply' button.

The alarm will follow the normal behaviour of the alarms. It will be shown if the field is set to a non zero value (normally 1). The alarm will be marked as cleared if it is set to zero.
