Acquire: How to add server side users

Users are enabled be default when accessing Acquire over the Internet, but on the server side interface the user accounts have to be manually enabled.

 

Requirements:

Acquire v2.6

 

To enable server side users:

Select 'Server Preferences…' from the Admin menu.

Select 'User Settings' from the Preference list.

Select 'Server Side Users'.

Click the 'OK' button.

 

Administration and Configuration Modes:

The Acquire server will default to run in configuration mode. For server side users to be enabled, configuration mode and administration mode must be password protected. See this tech note on configuration and administration mode for more details.

 

Logging In:

Select the 'P&ID' from the 'Acquire' menu.

Type in your user name and password.

Click the 'OK' button.

 

Logging Out:

Select 'Logout' from the 'File' menu. 

The operator will be logged out and all operator screens will be closed. The server will still run in the background.
