Follow these steps to upgrade to the latest version of Acquire.

Requirements:

Any version of Acquire.

Backup Acquire

Right click on the C:\Acquire folder and select 'Copy' from the menu.

Create a new folder called 'Acquire Backup'.

Open the 'Acquire Backup' folder.

Right click in this folder and select 'Paste' from the menu.

This will copy Acquire into the C:\Acquire Backup folder.

Rename the folder YYYY-MM-DD Acquire so you know when you took the backup from.

Run the Installer

Download the latest version of Acquire from http://www.ambrit.com/acquire/download

Run the installer, ensuring the destination directory is left as C:\Acquire.

Run Acquire

As the new version has been installed into the same folder that your old version was installed, so all of your shortcuts will still point at the right place.

Run C:\Acquire\Acquire.EXE and the upgrade is complete.

If your upgrade was successful, you should not need to register Acquire and you should see your P&ID when Acquire first starts.

If Acquire asks you to register your key or if it ask you to add a station you have most likely opened the wrong data file. Please contact us for more help.
